This is a highly analytical, hands-on data engineering role for a specialist who loves turning raw database numbers into interactive, high-utility business intelligence systems.
As a Data & BI Analyst, you will be responsible for turning raw analytics into actionable growth reports using custom dashboards and performance tracking setups. You will map out complex data flows across multiple marketing channels and convert chaotic data streams into clean visual readouts. Working as a trusted analytics partner to Australian agency owners and executive teams, you will deliver the clear data insights needed to back up major strategic scaling decisions.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Dashboard Construction & Data Modeling
- Visual Architecture: Construct and maintain automated, real-time reporting dashboards using data visualization platforms like Looker Studio, PowerBI, or Tableau.
- Data Pipelines: Connect, blend, and configure cross-channel data models to seamlessly pull metrics from Google Ads, Meta, SEO tools, and CRMs.
- Data Transformation: Clean unstructured datasets, build calculated metrics, and establish uniform attribution reporting layers.
Insight Generation & Tracking Audits
- Conversion Diagnostics: Sift through multi-touch web tracking data to spot user friction points, funnel bottlenecks, and conversion trend variations.
- Attribution & Tag Management: Perform technical setup audits on tracking arrays via Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Analytics (GA4) to ensure data accuracy.
- Growth Projections: Build data-backed performance projections and trend forecasts to assist management in optimizing digital marketing spends.
Team Synchronization & Reporting
- Stakeholder Delivery: Translate technical data configurations into simple, practical business insights for non-technical agency clients.
- Real-Time Sync: Work in absolute alignment with Australian time zones (AEST/AWST) using collaborative tracking tools like Slack, ClickUp, or Jira.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Experience: ~3–5 years of dedicated experience as a Data, Marketing, or Business Intelligence Analyst, ideally inside a fast-paced digital agency or data-driven e-commerce environment.
- Technical Toolkit: Advanced database querying skills using structured languages (SQL), combined with mastery of Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager.
- Visualization Mastery: Proven expertise in designing clean, executive-ready reporting dashboards inside Looker Studio or PowerBI.
- Mathematical Aptitude: Deep understanding of statistics, cohort analysis models, user-journey mapping metrics, and digital marketing tracking dynamics.
- Soft Skills: Superior written and verbal English communication skills, a highly methodical problem-solving mindset, and sharp attention to detail.
