The Opportunity
This is a highly creative, hands-on writing role for a wordsmith who loves crafting persuasive, conversion-focused content while mastering unique brand voices.
As a Content Strategist & Copywriter, you will be responsible for crafting persuasive and high-converting copy specifically tailored to the unique Australian brand voice. You will map out end-to-end content journeys across websites, automated email funnels, and marketing campaigns. Working closely with digital strategists and designers, you will turn complex product value propositions into clear, engaging messages that connect with readers and drive measurable sales actions.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Voice Development & Copywriting Execution
- Aussie-English Mastery: Adopt and maintain a natural, authentic “Aussie-English” tone of voice across all marketing materials, adjusting spelling and slang appropriately.
- Direct-Response Copy: Write high-converting, persuasive copy for landing pages, sales funnels, and paid social media advertisements (Meta, Google, LinkedIn).
- Email Marketing: Draft and construct engaging email newsletters and map out automated lifecycle email nurture sequences to guide leads down the funnel.
Content Mapping & SEO Alignment
- Editorial Strategy: Research, plan, and execute search-optimized blog articles, long-form guides, and downloadable resources.
- Search Intent Mapping: Align copy structure and heading formats with target search intent profiles provided by SEO strategists.
- Content Audits: Review existing client web property assets to identify structural copy flaws, layout gaps, and messaging weaknesses.
Agency Collaboration & Tracking
- Cross-Team Sync: Collaborate with graphic designers and web developers to match written copy blocks perfectly with design layouts.
- Real-Time Alignment: Work in complete sync with Australian time zones (AEST/AWST) using communication tools like Slack, ClickUp, or Jira.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Experience: ~2–4 years of dedicated digital copywriting experience, with a strong preference for candidates from a digital marketing agency background.
- Writing Versatility: A strong writing portfolio demonstrating adaptable brand tones—capable of moving from serious B2B corporate copy to casual B2C consumer writing.
- Cultural Adaptability: High familiarity with Australian cultural references, spelling nuances (AU/UK English rules), and local consumer habits.
- Marketing Foundations: Deep understanding of direct-response copywriting principles, conversion framework basics, AIDA models, and basic on-page SEO.
- Soft Skills: Meticulous self-editing habits, proofreading accuracy, and strong time management skills to manage copy deadlines across multiple client accounts.
