The Opportunity
This is a highly collaborative, hands-on development role for a front-end specialist who bridges the gap between static design layouts and interactive, responsive digital experiences.
As a Front-End Designer, you will turn complex UI mockups into clean, functional code while keeping site speed and user experience at the forefront of everything you do. You will work closely with digital strategists and creative design teams to build user interfaces that are beautiful, accessible, and highly optimized for speed.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
UI Development & Framework Mastery
- Design Translation: Translate high-fidelity Figma workspace projects, prototypes, and wireframes directly into clean, semantic code.
- Interface Engineering: Develop highly responsive user interfaces using modern framework libraries such as React and Next.js.
- Component Building: Create reusable, modular UI components to ensure consistency across web layouts and digital products.
Performance & Optimization
- Web Vitals Focus: Audit, track, and actively optimize site performance, focusing closely on Google Core Web Vitals.
- Speed Tuning: Implement asset optimization techniques—including code splitting, image compression, and lazy loading—to achieve lightning-fast loading speeds.
- Cross-Platform Check: Ensure all visual elements render flawlessly across different browsers and mobile devices.
Collaboration & Workflow
- Agency Alignment: Integrate directly into Australian agency workflows, collaborating daily via tools like Slack, ClickUp, or Jira.
- Real-Time Sync: Sync completely with Australian time zones (AEST/AWST) for real-time adjustments and zero communication delays.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Experience: ~2–4 years of dedicated front-end development experience, ideally working within a digital marketing or web development agency.
- Technical Toolkit: Advanced proficiency in semantic HTML5, modern CSS3 (including frameworks like Tailwind CSS or Sass), and modern JavaScript.
- Framework Familiarity: Practical, hands-on experience building layouts within React and Next.js environments.
- Figma Fluency: Deep comfort navigating Figma to extract CSS properties, image assets, typography rules, and layout dimensions.

As an eCommerce Architect, you will be responsible for building, configuring, and scaling storefronts tailored for the competitive Australian market. You will focus heavily on creating seamless app/plugin integrations, setting up secure payment gateways, and building high-conversion checkout experiences. You will collaborate directly with AU agency owners and retail brands, turning complex product catalogs into smooth user journeys.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Storefront Architecture & Configuration
- Platform Deployment: Manage complete store configurations from scratch across Shopify and WooCommerce (WordPress) ecosystems.
- Theme Implementation: Deploy, customize, and override pre-built layouts or Shopify liquid/PHP files to deliver unique, brand-aligned shopping experiences.
- Ecosystem Integration: Connect and configure essential third-party applications and plugins for inventory management, CRM tools, reviews, and marketing automation.
Conversion & Performance Optimization
- Conversion Focus: Design and refine product pages, shopping carts, and checkout funnels to reduce drop-offs and maximize sales velocity.
- Mobile Commerce: Ensure all storefronts are perfectly responsive, lightning-fast, and optimized for mobile shoppers.
- Payment Setup: Implement and test localized Australian payment gateways, including credit cards and Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) options like Afterpay or Zip.
Collaboration & Management
- Progress Tracking: Provide regular sprint updates, tracking tasks transparently using project management tools (like ClickUp, Jira, or Slack).
- Real-Time Sync: Work in absolute alignment with Australian time zones (AEST/AWST) for instant team communication.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Experience: ~2–4 years of dedicated experience configuring and managing eCommerce stores, with proven hands-on expertise in Shopify and/or WooCommerce.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep familiarity with Liquid templates, PHP environments, HTML5, CSS3, and how e-commerce API webhooks function.
- UX/UI Instincts: A strong understanding of consumer behavior, cart abandonment factors, and conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles.
- Gateway Familiarity: Experience setting up standard AU-centric digital payment infrastructures (Stripe, Afterpay, PayPal).
- Soft Skills: Highly analytical, organized with multiple project timelines, and capable of explaining technical store setups in plain English.
