The Opportunity

This is a highly meticulous, hands-on quality engineering role for someone who loves finding edge-case system errors and establishing ironclad development gates.

As a QA Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for running rigorous manual and automated testing protocols across software systems. You will own the validation pipelines that ensure 100% bug-free deployment for our Australian clients’ digital products. You will work closely alongside front-end and full-stack developers to identify, log, and prevent code regressions before features hit production.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Test Automation & Scripting

  • Workflow Automation: Design, write, and execute stable automated testing scripts to handle regression, integration, and end-to-end testing cycles.
  • CI/CD Integration: Embed automated test suites into continuous integration pipelines to catch system bugs early in the release cycle.
  • Framework Maintenance: Regularly update and optimize test scripts to stay aligned with ongoing product changes and new feature rollouts.

Manual Testing & Bug Tracking

  • System Diagnostics: Perform thorough manual validation testing on new features where automated paths are not yet established.
  • Defect Documentation: Isolate, reproduce, and document system bugs in detailed, clear reports containing steps to replicate, logs, and video captures.
  • Compatibility Verification: Check application layout behaviors across multiple web browsers and mobile device viewpoints.

Team Collaboration

  • Sprint Support: Participate in sprint planning sessions to review feature requirements and estimate testing scopes.
  • Real-Time Sync: Work in total alignment with Australian time zones (AEST/AWST) to provide fast validation support.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Experience: ~2–4 years of experience as a QA Engineer, with significant hands-on experience transitioning from manual testing into test automation.
  • Automation Toolkit: Solid experience utilizing modern automated testing tools and framework libraries such as SeleniumCypress, or Playwright.
  • Ecosystem Knowledge: Strong familiarity with Agile workflows and issue tracking platforms (e.g., Jira or ClickUp).
  • Technical Literacy: Good understanding of web behaviors, browser developer tools, HTML/CSS, and how APIs interact with front-end interfaces.
  • Soft Skills: An analytical, detail-driven mindset, an inability to settle for “good enough” code, and excellent English communication skills to explain bugs clearly to developers.

WHY THIS ROLE

  • Gatekeeper Status: Hold a highly valued role protecting user experience and software reliability for premium Australian digital products.
  • Structured Remote Support: Enjoy transparent task tracking, reliable workflows, and local account management support.
  • Skill Expansion: Deepen your technical capabilities across diverse codebase stacks, testing frameworks, and deployment environments.
